Description: This lovely collector's plate, "The Little Fruit Seller," depicts a woman examining fruit from a fruit vendor. The original painting was done in 1670 by Bartolome' Esteban Murillo, and the image became popular through the centuries as an accent on other decorative items. This is a porcelain plate with a white background and gold banding around the edges, with the image centered in the middle of the plate. The colors are very much "Old World," staying true to the era in which the painting was produced. This particular plate is from JKW in Bavaria/Western Germany, and it was made in the early 1950's, making it a true vintage piece. The back of the plate features its Makers Marks. Plate measurements are shown in the photos, and a wall hanger is included.
