It is absolutely amazing how many fakes there are on eBay using the name kindling cracker! I wouldn't buy one of those made in China ones for my life because you don't know when your life is at risk. You strike that made in China with recycled steel piece of crap and a chunk of that may break off and hit you in the eye. This one has a few marks on it but the blade is sharp and true; also you can touch it up whenever you need just by running your whetstone along it. It has two mounting holes on the bottom. I used two wood screws to attach it to a huge round log to split on. That worked well. These are the original the best and they work. This one may have been used briefly. I bought one to try for myself and decided I'd rather stick with my old tried and true maul and axe. I have a number of these that have been kicking around here so their boxes are distressed. That's a polite way of saying the boxes are beat to heck. You will get a box but it won't be anything you want to keep.
