Description: A hardcover copy with slipcase of 'The Journal of a Tour to the Hebrides with Samuel Johnson' by James Boswell. This is The Limited Editions Club version, and this is number 1949 of 2000 printed. The slipcase has some scuffs and scratches from storage. There is some rub wear along the edges, a tear to one of the upper corners, and near one corner some of the outer layer is separating from the box. The outside of the book, itself, has some minor scratches to the spine. There is also an area on the upper part of the spine that is slightly deformed. There is a small area along the bottom page edges with some glue residue. Inside there is no writing or markings to any of the pages, as well as no folds. There is some minor damage near the bottom corners of a few pages at the front that looks to have been caused by separating the pages after being stuck together from excess glue that came out from the pasted down endpaper. The pages also appear and feel to have some slight warping around the center of the pages, likely from prolonged exposure to the Arizona heat. The book has never been read, and the pages have never been forced open. A copy with some wear from storage and age, but overall still a solid unread copy.
