The Hobbit J.R.R. Tolkien Ballantine U7039 Rare 1st Printing 1965 Lion Cover

Description: This is a rare 1965 first edition of "The Hobbit" by J.R.R. Tolkien, published by Ballantine. The book has a paperback binding and has the lion in the cover illustration. The book is written in English and belongs to the fantasy genre. It is perfect for collectors and fans of "The Lord of the Rings" character family. Vintage book is in good/acceptable condition with no writing on the pages. The cover is in good/acceptable condition for its age with wear to edges and corners. The cover has some corner folds and the front cover has a strong crease near the spine. There is also a tear on the front of the cover at the top of the front spine area. I will not interfere with the condition of the book and allow you to make the choice of whether you want to reinforce the folds with clear shipping tape or not. The right hand edge of several of the pages have been blemished with a push pin. Please see the pictures for detail of what some of the page edges look like. Most are just very short tears/niks to the pages edge. The spine does have a crease from top to bottom but the spine has not cracked. Please review all pictures for detail of blemishes.
