Description: For sale is a complete 4 book, trade paperback set of “The History of the Lord of the Rings” by J.R.R Tolkien, edited by Christopher Tolkien. Included in this lot are all 4 volumes in the series: “The Return of the Shadow,” “The Treason of Isengard,” “The War of the Ring,” and “The End of the Third Age.” “The Return of the Shadow” has some edge wear around the top and bottom of the spine and slightly rounded corners. There are a few pencil marks on the fly leaf that hae been erased. Page edges have yellowed lightly over time and show a little reading wear. “The Treason of Isengard” has a little edge wear to the cover and also has rounded corners. There’s a little bend to the upper left third of the back cover. Has a retailer’s sticker on the back coer. Page edges have yellowed a little and also exhibit some light reading wear. “The War of the Ring” shows some edge wear mostly to the top of the cover. The page edges have yellowed noticeably with age. “The End of the Third Age,” has some light edge wear at the top of the spine but is otherwise in like-new condition. Overall, this set remains in good condition.
