Tanner has presented two mini-courses on the psychology of aphasia and related disorders at conventions of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and has been named Outstanding Educator by the Association of Schools of Allied Health Professions. Dr. Tanner serves as an expert witness in legal cases involving patients with communication and swallowing disorders and is currently Professor of Health Sciences at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.
