Description: Here's an amazing UK MONO PRESSING of BUDDY HOLLY'S THE CHIRPING CRICKETS LP on the UK CORAL LABEL from 1960. CAT#LVA1981. One of the very few LPs to be released in Buddy's lifetime. Taken from us at the beginning of his career, and the beginning of rock is one of the huge tragedy's in music. He came out of nowhere to release just 2 LPs during his lifetime. Out of that and the few other sessions, he had put an indelible mark on rock music that continues to influence artists today. This is an amazing copy. The sound is spectacular. The vinyl plays VG+. It's a beautiful play. The cover is in VG+ as well, and mostly as a result of the thinner UK covers. Much harder for them to survive time. The front has great colors, and is in wonderful shape. there's a 1/4" chip to the paper on the spine. Also all of the corners are slightly soft. The back cover has a touch of ring wear, also not helped by a thin UK cover. It has a red stamp back top center "MEMRYDISCS LTD.," I guess a record store in the UK where this was sold, but not positive. Comes with the OG INNER. You just don't see this LP in this kind of playing condition often at all. It came out of a significant single owner collection that I recently bought part of.
