Description: The author reprinted this abridged edition at the request of many teachers to use in Colleges and High Schools. Detailed history of the origin of The Constitution and development of the Federal Government. It also covers State Governments and political methods. Green hardcover has some marks and wear to edges, corners, and spine ends, but the binding is solid. The print and lines are still bold. The interior covers have some dirt, and small pencil writing. The 1st two title pages are detached from the very top of the binding. The remaining pages are excellent with normal aging. There are some pencil lines on the 2nd page of Table of Contents. A rare mark and smudge is found, along with some minute nicks of some corners of pages toward the end of the book. There are also some small nicks of pages 242-252 where they meet in the center at the binding. These are all extremely small and don't interfere with the text. There is a small stain to outside bottom pages that does not affect the text. An extremely nice solid copy of an historically significant book. A rare find!
