Description: These "self-cleaning" palm trees are a great addition to any tropical or sub-tropical landscape. I have read that they can also be potted and grown in-doors during winter months in colder climates and brought outdoors in summer. The "parent" tree shown in picture has been planted there for 24 years. It's overall height at that time was probably about 12'. It has survived several hurricanes, one (Wilma) being a direct hit. Depending upon the weather, it will usually lose one frond per month on average. Fronds never need to be cut - always drop on their own. New photos taken 9/5/23. Most are now 17-18" +.
