Description: This item is an appropriate sized elastic band replacement for the original and no longer available Tascam DA-30Mk II / DA-40 Loading Belt that controls the loading and unloading of the dat tape. Recent buyers have reported that this belt has also worked for them with other Tascam dat machines displaying Error 01 including the DA-302 and DA-P1. The original Tascam part numbers for this belt were V00013500A / V00013500B. Unfortunately Tascam no longer supplies these belts making replacements difficult to source. This elastic band/belt can often a common be a fix for machines displaying the "Error 01" related to the dat machine tape loading mechanism. In my experience when this belt isn't functioning properly it prevents the DAT tape mechanism from loading/unloading the tape, opening the drawer and ejecting the tape. It also prevented the operation of the tape transport controls. While this belt can often fix this issue, there's no way to know if there are other problems contributing to the machine not functioning properly and thus replacing this belt is no guarantee of fixing this problem 100%.
