But Jerry Garcia also used to play a Takamine, as did Glenn Frey. But back to the topic at hand... This GB7C is a powerful beast of an acoustic. It's comfortably shaped, which isn't always the case with dreadnoughts, and extremely easy to play. The neck is very small and thin, likely designed to allow Garth to play for hours and hours on end with high energy without having to worry about left-hand cramping. It truly plays like a breeze. The sound is thunderous and powerful with focused and responsive bass that is full of the fundamental note content that you need to keep from getting muddy. The highs are still classy and crisp but lack that "needle through your ear drum" feeling that can sometimes happen. The soft cedar top is dynamically responsive and reacts well to fingerstyle or harder pick playing. It's a very well balanced sound with a tiny bit of mid-scoop to allow your notes to be round and warm.
