At that time, Taj Mahal was still playing tight blues-rock without much world color. The most notable guitarist is Jessi Ed Davis, the lead guitarist of Native blood, who was playing as the right-hand man at that time. He was also the supporting guitarist for George Harrison's Bangladesh concert. He played Telecaster beside Taj on the Stones' "Rock 'n' Roll Circus.
