Its heavy solid 18K gold architecture is both elegant and sporty. Unlike the quartz versions of most TAG's from the period, this more desirable mechanical example is powered by the very well made ETA 2892-A2 based movement with gilded rotor. Fitting for TAG Heuer's very finest watch at the time, the company sent the movement away for official chronometer certification. It has all of its original parts and presents in beautiful condition. The case presents as just short of mint with only light signs of previous polishing. All of the hallmarks and markings, including the very lightly stamped serial number, are still very clear. The original dial and sapphire crystal both present as mint. And the original crown, showing some signs of being polished, screws down very well. Purchase includes a brand new crocodile strap with an aftermarket Heuer style buckle. Accompanying the watch are its rare, correct TAG Heuer booklets. A more modern TAG Heuer box is also included.
