Description: Marbro Pair of Cloisonne, Enamel, French Gilded Ormolu, Table LampsMarbro Issue Number 8566 A collectors item and an investment extremely rare. The prestigious Marbro Lamp Company manufactured this unique pair of museum quality Chinese cloisonne vase lamps in 1970-80s. More correctly Marbro converted the cloisonne vases into a magnificent pair of lamps during the dates just mentioned but the date the vases were made is unrecorded. Working with cloisonne takes meticulous skill and gifted artistry as is displayed in the artwork which has been reversed to produce the matching set. The Marbo team chose the finest and their Marbros' wisdom of combining a suburb cloisonne vase with gilded French ormolu bases, ornate gilded ormolu handles, and Levett solid brass electrical hardware produced these famous Marbro Table Lamp legends. Ormolu - Wikipediahttps://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › OrmoluOrmolu is the gilding technique of applying finely ground, high-carat gold–mercury amalgam to an object of bronze, and for objects finished in this way.
