This signifies that the tape was either intended for promotional use or that it was an unsold copy sent back to the distributor. They would then sell them at deep discounts. The artist would not receive royalties from that copy. The official term is a "cutout" mark. ***IF YOU PLAN ON PLAYING THIS, I RECOMMEND REPLACING THE SPLICE AND FELT PADS!!! I can refurbish your copy before I send it out, even replacing the plastic wheel with a rubber one, and reseal it up for you in heatshrink wrapping. Just let me know before I send it out. If not, you will receive an original copy with the original splice and pads in the original wrapping (untouched). These Warner Bros. style tapes tend to have bad splices and felt pads after all these years, even with NOS tapes.
