James Marshall, one of our most beloved creators of children's books, died on October 13, 1992, three days after his fiftieth birthday. Bound in dark blue cloth with an embossed front cover and gilt embellishments on the spine. The binding is tight and solid and all pages are crisp, clear, and bright showing a minimal amount of shelfwear from handling to the edges and corners of the dustjacket, but not much to speak of. I have placed the dustjacket in a Brodart for safe keeping. It is hard to tell if this copy has ever been opened past the first few pages! It is a VERY nice copy! Enjoy...
