Description: Up for sale is my Arrowhead 1-10x24 Low Power Variable Optic with the Guerrilla Dot MIL Reticle. The scope sat in my safe mounted to my 308 rifle but never went out. I recently upgraded the scope on that rifle and no longer need this scope. Includes: All original items and original packaging. DESCRIPTION Arrowhead is our flagship LPVO (low-power variable optic) series that exceeds all requirements for end-user applications. Every Arrowhead comes with push/pull locking turrets to ensure accuracy and prevent unintentional adjustments. Arrowhead also features a brighter sight picture, expansive field of view, and excellent resolution. Offered in three-second focal plane reticles: Guerrilla Dot BDC Long, Guerrilla Dot MOA Long, and Guerrilla Dot MIL, each with 12 red or green illumination settings. The Arrowhead is an excellent choice for both close quarters and long-distance engagements. MIL & THE SECOND FOCAL PLANE Guerrilla Dot MIL Long is a Second Focal Plane reticle, meaning the reticle will always appear to remain the same size as the scope's magnification is changed from minimum to maximum. As you increase the magnification, the target will appear to get bigger while the reticle remains the same. Therefore, the MIL measurements on the reticle are only accurate and "true" at the highest magnification setting. Installing the included throw lever onto your Arrowhead scope makes it easy to ensure that you have reached maximum magnification before using the MIL markings as holdover aiming points. The red illuminated ring surrounding the center dot has an outer diameter of 6.15 MIL and an inner diameter of 5.55 MIL. The ring provides quick strike capability for fast shooting up close, while the MIL ladder provides holdovers in standard 0.5 MIL increments for shooters comfortable with the Milliradian system of measurement. STANDARD MIL RANGINGIn order to range targets or objects using the Guerrilla Dot MIL Long reticle, use the MIL ranging formula: Target Size (centimeters) x 10 / Image Size in MIL = Range In Meters In order to obtain an accurate range estimation, you need to know the size of the target in centimeters. Using either vertical or horizontal hash marks, measure the target dimensions in MIL as you view it through the scope. Multiply the target’s actual size in centimeters x 10, then divide that result by your MIL target dimension observation to get the range to target in yards. EXAMPLE #1:Assuming this combatant is 6 feet [183cm) tall, and his body length appears to be 4 MIL tall in your reticle, how far away is he? 183 x 10 / 4 MIL = 450 Meters
