Description: Surinam roaches, a medium sized soft-bodied parthenogenetic species that prefer a moist/humid substrate and environment. They make an excellent feeder choice based on their meat to shell ratio and are very plump as a nymph. We recommend 2-3" of substrate in order for them to burrow and thrive in. They are a climbing species so a barrier to prevent escape is needed. They also cannot survive outside of their environment unless you live in tropical conditions.
