Description: Lenox China ~ Early Westchester Oyster Plate / Bowl 1127 / M139 For your consideration, early Westchester Oyster Plate / Bowl with six wells. This piece carries the earlier green backstamp, pre 1930, most likely from the 1920s. The gold encrusted rim pattern is the same as the current produced Westchester. There is always a slight difference in gold color because the gold content used in the early Westchester is a different formula from the gold used today. You can certainly mix and match old and new Westchester. The china also has the beautiful translucency only found in the earlier Lenox. An extremely rare piece, will become a treasured part of any serious collection. 8-3/4" At widest 1-3/8" Deep 3/4" Wide Westchester gold-encrusted border Condition: Damage-free.
