Description: Sun-Shine Furniture Polish "Since 1904" (In 16 oz glass bottle). Condition is New. Yes, It's still around! Sun-Shine Furniture Polish was sold under the Straub and Yorke name from 1926 to 1968 out of Chicago and shipped to hundreds of furniture stores across the United States. In 1968, it was sold to a sole proprietor and simply named the Sunshine Polish Company in Detroit, MI. This mixture was invented by my grandfather and bottled by Straub and Yorke for him under an agreement that my grandfather could sell it to his furniture repair customers and use it for his business. My grandfather did not like the other polishes out at the time because they had waxes, foul odors and harmful ingredients in them, so he used his pharmaceutical background to concoct a mixture that was to his liking for rubbing down finishes and for general polish and dusting needs. It is, in many customers' opinions and ours that it is the best polish out there for ALL types of furniture. It cleans, polishes, protects and preserves all finishes, it leaves a clean, pleasant aroma and it is non-toxic. Any other questions please do not hesitate to ask and please read the old brochure scans in the photos. Thanks!
