Description: Stunning portrait "The Light Without" 1921 by Arthur Clive Banfield 1876-1966. This is a halftone print from a vintage copy of Amateur Photographer Dec 7th 1921. Arthur Banfield (1876-1966) was a versatile photographer who worked in a range of genres, including pictorial photographs, portraits and landscapes to photo micrography. He became a member of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) in 1920 and was admitted as a Fellow in 1921. He was very active within the RPS lecture circuit and also wrote many articles for The Photographic Journal. His collection of 300 photographs, bromoils, gravures, bromides, pictorial photographs, portraits, landscapes and photo micrography was acquired by RPS in 1957. Banfield spent his life living and working in North London. Delivered in an archival sleeve and hard backed envelope. Happy to combine postage.
