They were immediately considered world class mineral specimens for their deep golden color, transparency and large thick crystals. Some had calcite crystals as an associated mineral. Very few of the large calcite specimens were recovered. At that time we obtained this large cabinet example of these striking specimens. This specimen features undamaged crystals with the largest one measuring 44 mm on edge. The dark gray crystals on top contrast with the colorless crystals on the bottom. Like many large specimens this one has very minor damage that does not detract from its stunning presentation. Minor red fluorescence is seen in some crystals under a UV SW lamp.
