Steve Ditko, The Hero Comics, 5 different issues

Description: The Hero, 5 comics by Steve Ditko Work from throughout Ditko’s career Brand “new” comics, from printer to me to you 10% of this item’s sale will be used to promote rationality, individual rights, and the moral basis of a free, non-coercive, racism-free and fascism-free society (and its resulting economic prosperity for the general populace) by helping to promote the ideas and philosophy of Ayn Rand. The Hero Comics #23 Published Summer 2017. 48 pages plus covers. Partial contents: – Introductory comments by Robin Snyder. Acknowledgments of Kickstarter supporters. – V? Previously unpublished Ditko pencils for a 17-page story. No dialogue. Interesting narrative device used twice. Lots to study and/or enjoy. – Various other works from the 1970s to 2000. The Hero Comics #26 Published Spring 2018. 48 pages plus covers. – Introductory comments by Robin Snyder. Acknowledgments of Kickstarter supporters. – Historical background on the Blue Beetle, starting with a color reproduction of the first Blue Beetle story (from 1939) to Ditko’s involvement with the character (features several pages of previously-unpublished notes and character sketches by Ditko). – A variety of Ditko stories from the 1970s to the 2000s. The Hero Comics #29 Published Autumn 2019. 48 pages plus covers. Reprints the two stories from Blue Beetle #5, from 1968, in full color. Blue Beetle story, 18 pages. Question story, 8 pages. Blue Beetle #5 is the most philosophically sophisticated mainstream, off-the-rack comic book ever published, that I am aware of. Its two stories dealt with how art can express metaphysical values. NOTE: One of my other eBay items offers this single comic for sale, if you’re only interested in this one. The Hero Comics #30 Published Winter 2019-20. 48 pages plus covers. Reprints the first Captain Atom story from 1960 in full color. One other Captain Atom story in color; the rest, in black & white, includes The Void, drawings from scarce fanzines, the Currector, the Hero. The Hero Comics #37 Published Summer 2023. 48 pages plus covers. Partial contents: -- 2-page Outline story (from A Ditko Act 3; reprinted in Opening Acts) -- Captain Atom illustration from a 1965 fanzine -- 2-page letter written by Ditko, written prior to his decision to quit Marvel; with startling info on where/how he wanted Amazing Spider-Man #s 31-33 published -- Full-color Captain Atom story from 1960 -- 18-page story originally intended for Blue Beetle #6, in black & white; previously published in a fanzine; nice companion to The Hero Comics #29 (reprinting Blue Beetle #5) -- Full-color Golden Age hero story (not by Ditko) Are you buying multiple items from me?
