This kit contains all the supplies, original designer sewing patterns, and detailed instructions to construct your own Do-It-Yourself, Custom size reproduction of the men’s Gold Command Division Tunic as seen on the first two seasons of Star Trek: The Original Series. The authentic color of the TOS Command Division tunic has been the subject of much discussion by many Star Trek TOS fans over the years, as the tunic color on the television screen has a distinct gold appearance. However, the original fabric was a light avocado green color, and only took on a gold appearance due to the show lighting and film stock used to produce the show. Many fans and cosplayers actually prefer the look of a gold fabric tunic, while others who are sticklers for accuracy insist on the avocado. The fabric included here in the kit is the gold version.
