Description: 45-T2-A An early type (T2 to T4) Stanley No 45 plane. It was missing all of its japanning and nickel, so it has been cleaned, replated and repainted. The paint is a hard, high lacquer paint that does a great job of mimicing japanning. The fence was broken right where most of these older 45 fences tend to be, but it is a nice repair. The slots on three of the brass screws were repeatedly overtorqued. I had originally restored this plane to sit on a shelf in my study next to my books on antique tools; however, I recently found a Type 1 and decided to sell this one. I hope someone can enjoy it as much as I have. Shipping will be Priority Flat Rate Mail (medium box). The plane is so heavy that its weight pushes the Ground Advantage rate right up to the Priority rate, so the plane will be in a Medium Flat Rate Priority box PROBABLY UNASSEMBLED, so it will fit comfortably. If I am able to combine shipping, I will be happy to do so, just bring it to my attention, keeping in mind that weight and size issues may (but not necessarily) increase the rate. Payment is required within 48 hours of the end of the auction. We will make every effort to ship the next day once payment is made.
