Stanley No. 43 Miller’s Pat. Adjustable Plow Plane 1871-1897 Type 4

Description: Up for your consideration is this Stanley Miller’s Patent No. 43 Cast Iron Plow Plane Type 4 with a 1/4” cutter. There is a faint stamp on the skate with “Stanley Rule & Level Co.” Manufactured between 1871-1897 it measures 10 1/2” has the original rosewood handle and a front depth stop. The finish on this ornate cast iron tool is original with the graphic floral motif and brass fittings. It comes with the single 1/4” cutter. The screw slot holding the brass chip breaker is peened over on one side and it looks like the head of the screw is missing on the other. Other than lightly cleaning I haven’t done anything to this plane. I think it would clean up very nicely.
