Description: St Brendan the Navigator Single Decade Rosary A beautiful single decade rosary with a 1" oval nickel silver St Brendan medal and 1-3/4" silver-toned Celtic crucifix. Both medal and crucifix were made in Italy; the chaplet itself was handmade by me in our home in the USA. The single Our Father bead is a smooth, round, genuine Tree Agate. The ten Hail Mary beads are genuine Czech glass, faceted and fire-polished, in emerald green. All eleven beads are 8 mm. About 9-1/2" long, the rosary comes gift-boxed and with the following: St Brendan prayer cardgift bag and tissue papercarry pouchRosary & Divine Mercy pamphlets15 Promises of Mary cardSt Patrick prayer cardSt Brendan was a 5th century monk who is famous for voyages from Ireland to Scotland, Wales and maybe even to America! The image on the medal shows St Brendan holding a ship to symbolize his sea voyages. He is the patron saint of boatmen; divers; mariners; sailors; travellers; whales; and portaging canoes. A great gift for anyone who sails the seven seas! The prayer cards which come with our rosaries, medals and pictures are home-made, created using a "greeting card" program on a computer and printed in full color on nice quality paper. Although they are not like the usual smaller professionally printed prayer cards, most of our customers prefer them since they are like a pamphlet with 4 "pages" and several images, prayers, patronages and often other information about the saint or Catholic devotion.
