Description: Spotwood Spot Poles 1974 Laughlin Old Time Black Stars #15 PSA VG 3 - Under-graded Before and after the first World War, Spot Poles was the star center fielder for great Lincoln Giant teams. Labeled "The Black Ty Cobb" the fleet outfielder was a sharp-hitting leadoff man. He began with the Philadelphia Giants in 1909. The year he joined the new Lincoln Giants (1911) he hit .440 and stole 41 bases in 60 games. He remained with the Giants until 1923 adding in other stints with the Lincoln Stars, Brooklyn Royal Giants, and Hilldale.
