In that war the small Prussian nation fought for survival against a powerful coalition of enemies that included France, Austria, Russia, Sweden and the Holy Roman Empire. For seven years the heavily outnumbered, but highly effective Prussian Army repulsed the attacks of the greatest military powers in Europe. For this accomplishment, the Prussian ruler who personally commanded the army in the field became known to history as Frederick the Great. Scaled on the operational level (each Game-Turn represents fifteen days of real time), Frederick the Great is unique in its recreation of the military doctrine of Eighteenth Century warfare. Special rules cover leaders, sieges, fortresses and garrisons, parleying (requesting and being granted honorable surrender terms) and prisoners of war. A total of four Scenarios, each a separate game simulating an individual campaign season, are included.
