Description: One of the most sought after older Spell designs, this peachy pink dress can be worn as a dress or open in the open kimono fashion. It is absolutely gorgeous, and the peach color is the rarest to find. I have never worn this dress. I made the mistake of having the iron setting not set on synthetic, and melted a bit of the sleeve cap lace on one side. There are multiple options for dealing with it…I chose to leave it as is, but if I were going to keep it, I would either remove the cap sleeves entirely (i folded them under in one photo so you can see how it would look); remove both cap sleeves and shorten them to equal length and reattach; or have a seamstress/tailor use matching tule (toole/toile?) and recreate the embroidery with appliqué technique (I consulted with a very good seamstress who was able to do that, but was going to charge over $100 for that repair, so I decided against it). I paid way more than I should have for this dress back when the Spell craze was in it’s prime. I have no idea if the crazy is still going, but some of the older, highly sought after designs are very rare to come across, like this one. With the cost of repair in mind, I am listing it for $150 less than I paid for it, so you will either have the discount to either get it repaired, repair it yourself, or just wear it as is, since it’s not really noticeable once it’s on, a purse is on, and your hair is hanging down. Other than that one melted area on the lace, the dress is in excellent condition. I have never worn it, and probably have the tags still in a box packed up, but I did remove them, and unless I find them before this is purchased, I won’t be including them.
