Description: Soviet Russia. 1 ruble 1964. Original. All coins are in good, used condition. Description of the coin A coin of 1961, but with a 1964 edge (denomination and year of issue). It is minted from a gray copper-nickel alloy with a greenish tint, does not have ferromagnetic properties. On the obverse there is a large image of the coat of arms of the USSR of the 1956 model with fifteen turns of a ribbon tying ears (according to the number of republics of the Soviet Union). The coat of arms is simplified and has no text on the ribbon. Around the coat of arms in a circle from left to right is the inscription: "UNION OF SOVIET SOCIALIST REPUBLICS". The beginning and end of the inscription are separated by a five-pointed star, the inscription is separated from the coat of arms by a solid circular line with hatching. The mint mark is missing. On the reverse at the top in the middle there is a large number "1", indicating the face value of the coin. The inner part of the figure has horizontal hatching. Below - in smaller print the word "RUBLE", centered on the number "1". Even lower, the year of minting is horizontally indicated - "1964". In the lower and lateral parts of the coin, a stylized wreath is depicted in a semicircle, consisting of two ears of wheat (above) and oak leaves (below), there is a shell in the place where the two branches are tied. Along the perimeter of the obverse and reverse sides of the coin there is a protruding edging along the circumference.
