Description: This estate piece is from Southern Potteries, whose pretty, handpainted dinnerware is amost instantly recognizable from the charming folk-art style of the designs. This plate measures 8 3/8" in diameter. There are no chips or cracks, but there are areas where the glaze was not well-applied leaving some "skips" and "bumps" on the surface. I wouldn't purchase this piece to add to a set of dinnerware, BUT, it is perfect if you need a bright accent on a hutch shelf or open kitchen cupboard shelf. The back says: "Blue Ridge Hand Painted Underglaze Southern Potteries, Inc. Made in U.S.A."
