Description: One of a few rare Russian titles we are listing. This rare Kismet piece plays quite well. Born in modern Kyiv, Ukraine, Sonya Chamina (Sofya Zisserman) came to the US in the mid 1920s and performed for the following decades in New York. She was getting on in years when recording this album at the age of 67 or so, but still delivers a powerful performance. Vinyl is nice VG+. Plays very well. Few minor paper scuffs. No repetitive ticks. Some very minor background here and there, but I am confident in a top VG+ grade. Sleeve is VG+. Solid on all edges. Somewhat more rigid than your typical sleeve, but not as heavy as the early DG jazz albums. Hint of ring wear and general surface abrasion on front and back artwork. See pics.
