Description: I have not seen many of these Moorcroft pieces with the metal band, stamped William Hutton & Sons. on the Lip/Rim. I am not an expert, but I have been told that the metal ring is to signify that the piece was a "Cull" or a piece that was Damaged or Blemished during manufacture.
