Description: This remarkable and useful book gives all detains of each and EVERY Reggae Sunsplash Festival held in Jamaica over a series of decades, every performer, the weather, their reception by the international audience, every sound system, M.C., and loads of photos of each show. This particular copy is AUTHOR SIGNED, DATED AND INSCRIBED. Held annually in July or August, it was an incredible festival with performances typically between 9pm and 7-9 am the next day for 6 days/nights in a row. I was blessed to be there and photograph seven years, 83, 84 and 86-90. Those who were there will love this. Those who weren't there will find it a unique and valuable reference. The forward is written by the great Jamaican dub poet Mutabaruka. It contains numerous interviews and inside looks at every aspect of the festival. It also features charts that show which Sunsplash each artist, d.j., sound system performed on. 152 pages, it is jammed with images and reports that make it almost as if you were there in person. **** Feel free to check out my other auctions for other Reggae and Rastafari related items, books and more. MUCH more available if you want to message me. Please ask ANY questions before bidding. All winning bids constitute a contract and payment is expected within 5 days. Full payment instructions here: I prefer payment by Paypal especially from the foreign buyers, primarily because of the speed. Cash paid in person is o.k. also, and you save on shipping. Domestic shipping and handling at $5.00 for Media Mail and 12.00 for Priority Mail. Insurance, if you want it (not recommended), is 1.40. Foreign shipping expense will be determined after the auction end, but is typically 40.00 without a tracking number if available (as required by ebay now on ALL trades (!!) to Europe and 80.00 WITH a tracking number. Multiple auction wins within a 7 days may be combined to save on shipping expenses. For obvious reasons, I am limiting my visits to the Post Office to once a week or once every 10 days. As you know, the Post Office is sometimes a little slow these days as well, so please know this and be patient? My feedback reads that everyone has loved my service on ebay for 22 years. Please see my other auctions for other related items. If you have any questions about Orders, Medals or books relating to Royal Ethiopia and/or Haile Selassie I or thoughts on where my very large and reputable archive on Abyssinia, Ethiopia, Ras Tafari Makonnen, Haile Selassie I, Reggae, Rastafari, Jamaica and Africa should be based, I'd be interested to hear them. You may message me. I'm also on facebook at the same address with many photos for your enjoyment and possible purchase. A brief inventory of the archive is available by email for those seriously interested in assisting me in finding a buyer or partner interested in opening a Museum, Cultural Center and The Haile Selassie I World Peace Center. PLEASE enjoy my two PHOTO ALBUMS on facebook of items I offer by punching in jim.marshall.9275 there, then go to Photos, then Albums, then go to Archive Items For Sale part 3, 2 or 1, and 2 albums of Books For Sale, then message me about anything you want to know more about. The are NO other copies on ebay OTHER THAN MY LAST UNSIGNED COPY. Many thanks and blessings for your interest and support.
