Description: SIDNEY SHELBY COUNTY OHIO 2007 COIN EXHIBIT COURTHOUSE COMMEMORATIVE ‘COIN’ This auction is for a 1½” diameter coin minted with a lightweight metal alloy and embossed with an image of the Shelby County Courthouse within the words “Shelby County, Ohio, / Est. 1819,” and dated “2007.” The other side reveals the text “Pathways / To Progress” above an image of an early automobile, a canal boat, and a steam engine and cars crossing Sidney’s huge Big Four bridge. The coin was created on behalf of the Shelby County Historical Society when they hosted a large exhibit on the history of coins sponsored by Amos Press/Coin World who then created the coin with the drawings by an area girl who won a community-wide student contest with images that represented the county’s ‘history.’ The ‘coin’ is in excellent condition and makes a nice gift (SEE IMAGES – NOTE: Coin is ‘silver colored and reflective). Shipping is $2 within the U.S.only. E-Mail me your delivery address for international shipping costs prior to the auction’s close. See my other auctions that can be combined to reduce postage costs.
