SGC 5.5 - 1965 Topps # 16 Joe Morgan RC Houston Colt.45s/Astros ROOKIE STARS HOF

Description: A graded SGC EX+ 5.5 – 1965 Topps "1965 ROOKIE STARS" card featuring Hall of Famer Joe Morgan along with teammate Sonny Jackson of the Houston Colt .45's (Astros). This example has no creasing, bold printing, excellent focus, good color and bright borders. The corners are consistent with those found on most EX+/EXMT examples, with the exception of more wear on the lower right corner. The printing is shifted slightly to the right, but the card still displays well. On the back of the card, there are several small printing imperfections in the blue background near the card number and the line that reads "1965 HOUSTON'S ROOKIE STARS", but they do not interfere with the black printing. There is a small discoloration in the cardboard above the word "campaigns" in the write up for Morgan, but it does not interfere with the printing or show through to the front. There is also some light wear on the back near the center of the left edge, but otherwise, the back is fairly clean with bold printing. Even with the flaws this is still a nice looking card for the grade. This card would be a great addition to any collection!
