Description: Set of 6 Limoges Hand Painted Floral & Gold W Monogram Dinner Plates B Beautiful set of 6 porcelain dinner plates. Each plate is decorated with hand painted flowers in the center in pink, white, dark pink, blue violet and yellow. The central flowers vary between plates With a fancy hand painted gold gilt floral and Rococo scrollwork border with a scrollwork vignette with a gold monogrammed W in the center. Each plate is marked on the reverse J. P. L France in green. This is an underglaze whiteware mark used by Jean Pouyat in Limoges France between 1890 and 1930. Also marked Wm Guerin & Co Limoges France in blue underneath. This is an overglaze decorator's mark was used by William Guerin in Limoges France between 1900 and 1932. These all have a lot of wear to the gilding, but are otherwise in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Each plate measures approximately 9 5/8 inches wide. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the pieces.
