Description: 2 Faince French Majolica Plates LUNEVILLE Judgenstill Movement-Art Neuvo Poppies. These plates are very old and are remarkable! They measure 8" in diameter, so are either lunch plates or salad plates. The stamp on the back is almost worn off but from the research I have done, and according to Google Lense, these are hand painted, Faince (earthenware decorated with opaque colored glazes) Majolica Plates. They were made in Luneville, France in the period known as Judendstill which corresponds with our Art Neuvo period. The condition is great, no chips or cracks, but there is crazing on the back. Considering these are probably 100 years old, these are in amazing condition. Thanks for looking.
