Description: Seltmann Weiden Schmidt 2000 Millennium Jar, Pewter Lid. Plane Twin Towers 9-11. Very limited (hard to find) biscuit/cookie jar made for Schmidt cookies by Seltmann Weiden in 1999 for the year 2000 Millennium. Item measures 5" high without the Lid and 7" with the lid on x 5" diameter. The odd/ unique feature with this jar is the plane that is heading directly towards New York City's World Trade Center Twin Towers. But it was made in 1999, 2 years before 9-11. The motifs shows 6 different world class cities (going clockwise): Berlin (with "2000" prominent in the image), London, New York, San Francisco, Peking and Moskau (Moscow). The lid is SKS Zinn 95% Pewter. No chips,cracks or crazing. The top of the Pewter Lid has scuffs and scratches. Inside under the lid has a seal in which looks near mint condition.
