Description: Seleucis and Pieria, Antioch, Otho, AE semis, 69 AD. 23 mm, 7.88 g. VF, evenly toned, minor deposit. Rare. RPC I 4319 ex-Errett Bishop (1928-1983) collection; bt. Superior Stamp & Coin c. 1970s (with their ticket at $275) This coin, like most Antiochean issues, is rare in old collections and this piece perhaps has a far older provenance; frustratingly while the Consul Weber coin sold by Jacob Hirsch in 1909 has the same diameter, the cataloguers neglected to provide the weight, and the coin is not plated.
