Description: This scarce 1920s Dutch “4 Azen" hinged 50 gram tobacco tin, measuring 3 3/8” c 4 7/8” x 4 3/4”, is in good condition with no rust or dents and some minor age related paint scratches and chips. The hinge is in excellent working order. The tobacco was manufactured by the Gebr. Philips Sigarenfabriek, Limburg, The Netherlands. This very attractive gold tin features detailed images of aces of the four card suits. Each card has an illustration of different historical sites in Maastrichat, The Netherlands. The factory was used as an air raid shelter during WWII.
