Description: This scarce 1902 "Bumper" litho cardboard 1 lb. tobacco canister with tin top and bottom, measuring 6 1/2" x 4 5/8" x 4 5/8", is in good condition. It has no dents and some minor age related staining to the cardboard. The pry-off lid has some superficial rust. Not attempt was made to remove the lid. There is a very large piece of tax stamp. This very attractive gold and blue canister with white lettering features a detailed, powerful image of a dreadnaught naval battleship. The tobacco was manufactured by the Spaulding & Merrick Tobacco Company, Chicago, Illinois, in Factory 10, 5th District, NJ. This is a very rare and exceptional collectible.
