It was issued to troops serving as part of the Royal Tank Regiment and latterly by the Royal Armoured Corps. Also famously worn by General Bernard Montgomery, with both his General and RTR Cap badge affixed. These are the 'large crown' type, as manufactured during the Second World War. Modern berets have a smaller crown. These berets are supplied to us by 'Firmin & Sons'.
