The keys strike and return, can't find any reason that it couldn't be used well with a new ribbon. However. it is old and everything may not work as new, from what we know about typewriters though we can't find any problems (needs a cleaning though) The case has protected it through the years, it is somewhat rough inside and out, and we can't get the zipper to work.
