Description: This piece of Rorstrand pottery is both a piece of art and a useful kitchen tool. In this particular case, it was clearly used a lot as a trivet or cheese board. The front has many, many, many tiny scratches from cutting food. The back also has lots of small scratches and a few larger ones. There are three areas on the back, about 2-3" away from each of the three corners, where the glaze is extra worn. There is also a line all around the edge of the front which is worn through the glossy glaze. Despite all that use, the ceramic has no chips or cracks! The overall size is 11 1/8" tall x 10 1/4" wide x 3/8" thick, and it weighs 2 lbs. 10 oz. It was difficult to take pictures to accurately showed the wear, so most pictures were taken just using the reflection of an overhead light. If you zoom in on the brighter areas, the scratches show up pretty well.
