Description: Roland VS 840 Series Card ReaderVS-840 VS-840EX VS-840GX If you have one of the VS models listed above you can add a card reader to your digital recorder and remove the noisy HDD. The other benefit to upgrading to a card reader is now backups can be done simply by removing the CF card and placing it in a PC and running the utility that can archive or restore your files to the computer. You can now easily transfer you audio recordings to your computer with the BR-8 Export Software. After your session is over and recorded to the CF card you can now extract the audio files directly from the card to your computer. NO need for SCSI storage or CDR exports. Just pull the CF Card out, place it in a CF reader connected to your computer and now you have access to recorded material. You can also restore any archived files back to the CF cards. You should confirm your OS is at least version 2.05. CHECKING THE SOFTWARE VERSION NUMBER Holding down MONITOR SEL and SOLO buttons, turn on VS-840.The version number will appear on the LCD panel.
