It contains some of the true and indisputable classics of our times..." CONDITION is NEAR FINE, in FAIR dust jacket (in Mylar jacket sleeve). Jacket is predominately complete but moderately chipped and worn at extremities, and is present in sections, separated by clean tears at folds, all panels held securely by mylar jacket wrap. Corners have been bevelled (clipped), but unknown if price was ever present to jacket flap. All known text and graphics are present to jacket panels, save for a small upper portion of the "CU" in "Cunninghame" is missing from notable chip to crown of spine panel. Binding is sound & square, though just starting at gutter of p. 168/9 (see photos); hinges very firm and secure. Sand-brown cloth boards are in beautiful condition, straight and clean, corners not bumped. Blindstamped horse and rider to front cover; gilt titles and ornament to spine brilliant and complete, not rubbed or faded. Unmarked within save for previous seller's price notation in pencil to front fly; no names, nameplates, or other markings to endpapers, no notes or underlining within text block, which is complete and clean.
