Description: These exquisitely crafted figures were made by Bernice Brooks, a California doll maker. She handmade (& hand-painted) each doll for department stores in the 1930s and 1940s. Approximately 7" tall, they are made from mixed media, including porcelain, fabric, and wire. Inside Scarlett's dress is a gift note - this was given as a gift in 1952.From collection of original owner. The artist has signed on the bottom of the pair - B Brooks, Ped-A-Doll, with 1860 written above (for Rhett and Scarlett's time), and the patent or registry signed there too..The piece was made in the 1940s. Please note that Scarletts face has some mild crazing - I didn't notice until I looked at the photos - you can enlarge them. No smoking no pet household.Please message me with any questions!
