The masthead of this periodical has a decorative and displayable masthead of St. JOHN's Gate which is still standing today. This journal from the year of 1778 is still adjoined at the spine and is not at all brittle as it was printed on a heavy rag/linen paper and can be handled and researched without causing damage to the issue. It is 5 x 8 inches in size and is guaranteed to be as described. This Rare Historical Chronicle contains an enormous amount of text/articles from the year of 1778 including lengthy articles about the Revolutionary War including mention of Bunker Hill, Lexington and Concord , Captain Cook's last voyage around the world and a letter signed it type by Plenipotentiary Benjamin Franklin concerning a prisoner exchange among others. There simply is a ton of historic news from the Revolutionary War in this issue!
